Students in the 2021 Vancouver Symphony Orchestral Institute's Young Musicians Program took on an exciting and inspirational project called "Putting the E in E-nsemble." Designed by composer Alex Shapiro, Putting the E in E-nsemble is a curriculum focusing on creative composition, improvisation, and recording in a virtual setting. Students collaborated on the creation of Sonic Quilts and present their process and resulting compositions in this video.
