The Pronoun Symphony

June 28, 2021 10:00 AM

Teiya Kasahara, soprano
Andrew Crust, conductor
Rodney Sharman, composer

June 28 is the anniversary of the start of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, which spawned the gay rights and pride movement. On July 30th the VSO will release Symphonic Pride, our third partnership with Vancouver Pride Society. Today, in commemoration of the Stonewall Riots, we release an excerpt from Symphonic Pride, Rodney Sharman’s The Pronoun Symphony. Thank you Rodney, soprano Teiya Kasahara, and our own Associate Conductor Andrew Crust for creating this work and letting us release it today.
